Just like me; I too like the oddball attractions.
"I have seen the biggest frypan in the world" type person.

I have a great site for you to see, it is Roadside America.
Each state is listed separately with all the odd attractions you can cram in one trip.
In Oklahoma:
~~ Firstly, have you seen the Praying Hands in Tulsa?
It is very beautiful.
~~ A fence made from bowling balls in Nowata
~~ See the world's largest Totem Pole in Foyil
~~ Circus graves in Hugo etc, etc..
For more, this is the link for Oklahoma:
Click on any that take your fancy for further information, including address and directions.

Texas:
~~ A beer can house in Houston.
~~ In Paris, Texas is an Eiffel Tower replica (it's really neat)
~~ A Cockroach Hall of Fame in Plano
More at:

New Mexico:
NM has lots of interesting things to see.
~~Visiting the Carlsbad Caverns is a great way to spend some time.
~~ Roswell for all things alien!
~~ In Springer you can see New Mexico's only electric chair.
More at:

Arizona:
AR is full of sights both natural and oddly unnatural.
~~ The Grand Canyon, The Petrified Forest National Park and the Painted Desert are all awesome.
~~ At Winslow is the Meteor Crater; a huge hole in the ground really.
But if your on I40 it's not much of a (dry and dusty) detour.
~~ In Meteor City you can see the World's Largest Map of Route 66!
From:

As an aside, two places believe they have the worlds biggest ball of twine!
Darwin, Minnesota and Cawker City, Kansas.
Oh, and the Cadillac ranch in Amarillo, is so cool. Very artistic!
Such an odd sight.
Have a safe (and fun) trip.
