Does anyone know any coupon codes or good places to stay in Las Vegas in June or July?
Sara asked:
I am going to Las Vegas for my 21st birthday from June 30-July 3rd. Does anyone know any good deals or good places to stay on the strip? Thanks!

If you are looking for a budget hotel that is still nice and still in a great location, I would recommend Excalibur. I would definitely recommend getting a widescreen room, though, they are so much nicer than the standard room and they aren’t much more expensive. For your dates they have a special running for $35/night. Your total cost would be $179.85 with tax!
There are other great options all found here
MGM Grand from 50/nt
Mandalay Bay from 65/nt (luxury hotel)
Luxor from 39/nt
Bellagio from 99/nt (one of the nicest on the strip)
Mirage from 58/nt
Treasure Island from 49/nt
Here is a map of the strip
Anywhere between Treasure Island and Mandalay Bay is good. Imperial Palace and Harrah’s have a great location on center strip, but they are not much to speak of. All of the hotels are near the action. Aubrey A

Aubrey A has laid it all out well for you. The cheapest hotels are not always the best value. For instance, if a hotel is too far from the mid-point of the strip, you will have to use either taxis or public transportation. The Strip traffic is often heavy, the traffic lights are long, the taxis are expensive and the meter keeps running with they sit in traffic or at lights. The buses are cheap but uncomfortable, smelly, slow and stop a million times along the way.
It is a much better value to say at a hotel near mid-Strip or on the Southen end. The three hotels on the South Western side of the Strip, Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay are all connected by a free tram (sort of a small monorail) that makes them very conventient. Treasure Island and the Mirage also have a free tram.
I included a map of the Strip hotels so you can see what I mean. You also need to consider that since it is your 21st birthday, some drinking will be involved. If you have a hotel with a great bar in it you do not have to worry about getting back to your room if you over-do it a bit.
So, for you, I would recommend Treasure Island or the Mirage. Both have pools, trendy night clubs, lounges and Treasure Island has Kahunaville, a Party Bar. This is a bar that has no cover charge, no pretense, no attitude, is casual and loads of fun. They have a DJ, Flair bartenders that flip the bottles around and put on quite a show, fun people, fun staff members and serve delicious huge drinks at reasonable prices. I also included a linke to “best of vegas” which had a review of Kahunaville. It is my favorite.
