Getting married in Las Vegas, but having a party when we get back, should we have a gift registry?
nikbanight asked:
My Fiance and I are planning on getting married in Las Vegas. Everyone we know is going to be informed ahead of time. And we plan on having a party when we get back so we can celebrate with everyone. But Im not sure if I should get a gift registry. I wouldnt expect anyone to get us anything but Im not sure if we should have one just in case anyone asks us or our parents. Would love everyones input. Thanks!

Before you leave for Las Vegas, send out wedding announcements to your friends.
There is nothing wrong with having a modest gift registry - let your parents know about it and if your friends ask, you can tell them about it. Having the registry will increase your chances of getting gifts you actually want. However, you never mention the registry on any invitations. Macy the Wedding Planner

I find it a bit tacky and rude. These people weren’t important enough to be a part of the wedding yet you want to do a gift registry once you get back? I would avoid doing any kind of registry. If you said you aren’t expecting anything then a registry is simply not necessary. KK
