There are probably mutliple reasons, one main one is that it is illegal to bet on games played in Nevada or Nevada teams (no betting on UNLV or Reno). Teams lose a lot of money indirectly because of this and no one in sports mgmt wants a NV team to go to a superbowl, world series, etc and not have any betting allowed.

UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas) & Reno (University of Nevada Reno) both have Division 1 basketball teams. UNLV has been to the final four multiple times. And both UNLV & Reno have been to bowl games in recent years.

A Toronto Blue Jays minor league team, the 51s is based on Vegas (formerly affliated with the Dodgers).
The Las Vegas Wranglers is a minor league team associated with the Phoenix Coyotes. sbinlb

There are none because the professional team management wants the State to bar getting on those teams and Vegas is smart enough to say NO. banananose_89117
