Is Las Vegas tap water okay for Salt water fish if conditioned?

I have only used RO water up until now, but i’m thinking about using tap water, as it is cheaper. i would think to go to city hall or public works or something and see if theres nitrates or copper in the water.. if there are i wouldn’t use it
also your volitan lion will eventually outgrow your tank and eat those other fish.. just FYI BIGgourami

I will pretend that You ignore everything about fish tanks.
let the tap water rest for more than 24 hours before use it.
use chlorine remover.
test for the presence of copper (might kill the snail)
do not worry about nitrites and nitrates since they are benefice
add the water in small portions and wide intervals of time,to avoid a suddenly change of temperature in Your tank. john m

Make a small investment and buy a tap water purifier that is designed to make water aquarium safe.
have them for the low!
When you get on the site look under water purification and you’ll see what you can use to help better your water conditions. makaveli440

If you can aford the ro water dont change now.
Tap water is way to hard for salt water tanks.
if you start puting tap water in youll start to see how bad it is in only a few weeks. greg x
