The Stratosphere and the Sahara are two decent hotels/casinos at the end of the strip that usually have some of the cheapest rates on rooms. They are not tacky like New York New York or Excalibur. I’ve stayed at all four and I like those two the best.

The Tropicana is popular for young cheapskates but I haven’t stayed there to know if those rooms are decent or not. I don’t know if theses hotels are cheap: Bally’s, The Flamigo, Harris and the Imperial Palace, but they certainly look cheap and they are in the heart of the strip. You never know with the rooms though, I stayed at the Riviera once and it looks like a major dump, but the room was actually really nice. Marco

Stratosphere (north strip) and Sahara are nice and cheap but I’d pick the Luxor if I were you. Luxor will cost a LITTLE more than the Strat, and Sahara but the location and quality of room will be well worth it. Jan

Hello, The best bang for your buck would be the imperial Palace hotel! Why, well its RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STRIP! You can wake up, walk outside and youll be in the middle of all the best name casinos, Caesars, Venetian, Mirage, Bellagio, all within good walking distance..

    Imperial Palace Thutmose I

first check out this site- VegasCheapHotels.Info

it looks like the Luxor is the hotel that is giving the best deals right now. It’s a little bit older but a whole lot nicer than what others are suggesting (stratosphere, sahara)

its on the south end of the strip by mandalay bay, excaliber, mgm, and new york new york oh no! its the po po!

Luxor and Excalibur tend to have cheap rates, and they are both decent places on the south end of the strip. If you want a more central location, then try looking at the rates at Imperial Palace, Bally’s, and Harrah’s. Imperial Palace is pretty old and showing its age, but it usually has rock bottom rates and you can’t beat the location.

The north end properties tend to have good rates, but many of them are just too far away and/or getting pretty rundown. I would avoid Sahara and Circus Circus for the quality and Stratosphere for the location. Melissa

It’s a little known casino, but try Casino Royale. Centrally located and very inexpensive. Irish Sean

just got back and stayed at the Sahara..rooms were cheap but you get what you pay for…we werent in the room that much,,it was Ok, air cond didnt work, buffet is closed, not close to the major strip action…nothng special but they did have a decent tattoo parlor and Nascar cafe food is great….probably would stay more in the middle of the action, had to take Monorail which was broken half the time, or bus to get to the main action areas… spellingbee

Then just look to see what you like.
    Hooters is nice.
Tropicana is out dated but nice rooms and easy to get in and out of.
Excalibur is fun but was built in the late 80’s
Monte Carlo very nice and cheaper rooms then the most of the newer places.
TI really nice but sometimes overpriced.
Sahara very dated but cheap rooms.
Southpoint super nice nice prices but really far south on the strip. ce

The Luxor is offering a special for $55/night and it includes late checkout that is not until 3PM.

I would also recommend the New York New York or MGM Grand. thehman

Honestly If you want to be on the strip then all the hotel rooms are going to be expensive

    But stay at the stratosphere

Hope that kinda hopes Christopher J

Excalibur, Luxor and Monte Carlo e.g. are nice hotels with reasonable prices. The best is to book the room with a promotion code, this will lower your room price. On you will find the latest Las Vegas hotel promotion codes. MarieP

NewYorkNewYork is not that bad. If you are a 20-something or 30-something, it is just what you want. Not too expensive and a lot of fun things to do. And it is relatively centrally located. pmten26

Last two times I was there I stayed at Bally’s and Harrah’s….while the rooms weren’t anything special (not bad, just nothing incredible) the location I found was very central which I really liked for the price. Colby
