Because your going to South Strip… A taxi can be over $20.00… If you are footing this bill yourself then that can be high end… Your only other option is to get the shuttle bus for $6.00… Of course Taxi will be fastest but most expensive but Shuttle is cheapest yet longer…. This is where you have to make the right decision for you…

Take a taxi - it’s not the cheapest, but it’s not outrageous either. Much more convenient than the shuttle in my opinion.

The shuttles are typically about $6 per person. They tend to load up quickly, but you do have to wait for them to fill up a van before it leaves. They also start toward the north end of the strip and work their way to the south, back near the airport. So if you are staying on the south end, you’ll be one of the last stops.

The strip hotels DO NOT offer shuttle service from the airport to the strip.

The taxi line is often long and overwhelming, but it moves quickly. We’ve never waited more than 15 minutes for a cab, and we’ve started all the way at the back of the line near the airport building. The ride to the hotel should be pretty quick, and most south strip locations should be $15 or less, before tip. Melissa

Taxi is fast and conveinient.
Taxi you can put three of four people in for the price of one.
Shuttle buses are cheaper if only one person but not as conveinient. Derrick

If there are one or two of you then take a shuttle. Three to four then take a taxi. A bus is not the cheapest in that you will have to get a pass and that will cost $7.00 each but then again you can use it for 24 hours to get up and down the strip. Fastest is taxi. The Deuce does not go to the airport.

The public bus system is designed so that you can get downtown from the airport on the #108 bus cheaply. You can only get to the strip via public bus if you change buses. EXTREMELY slow.

The shuttles are the most efficient way to travel for the money. But they can take forever as they go in and out of several hotels.

Personally I think you should print out the taxi fares from the taxicab authority so you have a hard copy and you won’t get cheated.

You might print a small sign “Looking to share taxi to: Luxor”, so you can discreetly attract attention of someone else going to your resort. Then you can split the taxi fare. Paco

The Shuttle is really good. It usually takes you directly where you want to go on the strip.
The Duece takes a little longer, but you get to see the strip real well.
Taxis are very fast, direct, and personalized, but cost more. Anton

Walk but it is a hike and with luggage a hassle.
there are ways to do this along Trop. The other poster must not know the area that well.
The shuttle is $7 there are headders in the arrivals area that direct you to the shuttle lane. That is the next least expensive method of travel.
A cab is a little higher, and quicker, maybe $20 with your top.
Buses operate and they are like 2, 3 dollars. But the service and wait time could take longer than walking.
RTC is the web page to check bus timetables and see with your connection here Then add 20 minutes to get your bags and see if the bus will work or not. Michael M

You cannot walk. There is no walkway and the airport is fenced in. The cheapest way is the Deuce. This is a double decked bus that serves the Strip from McCarran airport. Cost is $3 per ride or $7 for a day pass. Exact change required. It is something of a pain with luggage.

Next are the Shuttle services at around $6 per ride. Available at kiosks right outside of the arrivals area. These are smaller buses that are designed to accomdate you and your luggage. They drop you off right at your hotel rather than on the Street like the Deuce.

Taxis cost about $20 plus tip but if you have three or four people they can be a pretty good deal sharing the cost.

During slow times you can even make a deal with limo drivers. For about $40 or so plus tip you can get a limo. Again, this can be a good choice for groups of 4 or more.
