What is the process of aquiring residency in Las Vegas Nevada?

My husband and I are moving to Las Vegas Nevada in November and will be working on getting our residency there. What are the particulars to getting residency in Nevada? Please tell me what the actual steps are step by step. How long before you can start? Costs etc. We would like to do it as soon as we possibly can after moving there. Any help will be appreciated!!

I don’t know of anythng aside from a driver’s license and register to vote.
