I would say just stay away to be nice about it. Why school out here? this is sin city, not for the weak or cheap! HairyBack

Check out Apartment ratings (see link below) usually the cheaper the rent the more troublesome the area will be. There are some nice areas with decent rent but they are away from the strip. jus1oftheboys

Vegas is an excellent place to be but, yes…be careful on the location of your new place.
Try searching google for las vegas apartments and you will find many sites with listings, prices etc.
I’ve seen some that we’re very nice for only $600.00 (+ or -),a place about 5 months ago was about 640.00 with 2 fireplaces, gated community etc. They need to fill empty apartments!
UNLV is a great college if you want a college.
Take your time, search the sites and there will be many, make some calls, maybe look at a map of the area you like to see where the exact location is at like..distance from strip etc.
Try to steer clear of the downtown area for living, yah it may be alot cheaper but it’s not the best location either,i’d like to see you safe and sound when you do move there.
If you can scrounge up a second renter to help with bills then you could possible get a larger place and share cost’s.
Lot’s of research is the key to find the right place.
Good luck to you, hope it all turns out well for you! Bri

The cheapest is NOT where you want to live! Those parts of town are full of crimes! Very scary parts. AmericanMadeMorgans
