Where can I find the best deals on a trip to Las Vegas?
Summer M asked:
My husband and I are thinking about taking a trip to Las Vegas this summer and we usually book our trips through travelocity. Are there any other specific websites that provide good deals to Vegas? Thanks in advance!

I love finding the best deals too! I am a frugal traveler. I am not loyal to any airline or hotel, I just book with whoever is cheap. This is what I do…
1) Travelocity is a great place to start. Plug in the dates that you want to fly. Write down the three airlines that are the cheapest. Then go directly to the airlines website. The flights are usually $10-$15 cheaper than on travelocity. Southwest is one exception because they don’t go through travelocity. You need to go to southwest.com to look up their prices, which are usually low. Watch out for bag fees, not on southwest, but other airlines have them.
2) Hotels can be searched for the same way. Again book through the hotel website, in case your plans change the hotel gives you your money back with 48 hours notice before arrival date.
3) Southwest airlines does offer vacation packages. These are usually a descent price.
Vacation packages are convenient BUT I have NOT found them to be money saving. You can usually find a better deal by booking them separately.
